Sally's Christmas Story!
Needless to say all of you know that Sally isn't quite "right"! Mainly, I've recognized this from an early age and try to capitalize (oh God, there's that word we need to take out of our vocabularies, Comrades...we must not capitalize, anymore, right?) on the fact that I see things from such a strange prospective...or is that perspective?
I had the “damndest” dream last night...probably brought on by eating a large bowl of orange sherbet drizzled with that fabulous French Bittersweet Chocolate Sauce, right before I got in the bed. What was I thinking?
Anyhow, it seems in my dream I was hired to go out and find all the gifts from that most annoying of all holiday tunes...The 12 Days of Christmas for a very wealthy man (with Donald Trump hair) to give to his wife, which as you well know, the song is way over the top involving BIRDS! And, as most of you know my biggest phobia is BIRDS! (Although, the rich guys hair was pretty scary, too) Fortunately, I woke myself up right before that damn partridge in a pear tree swooped down on me to peck my eyes out...or whatever it is partridges are capable of. Thank God, I woke up...no telling what two turtle doves could do to a person???
Sadly...Sally had so much sugar in her system she was still up and wide awake at 3 in the morning. I spent all I could on the "shopping network", watched Don Imus in the Morning (sad with more bad hair), played with my "smart phone in a failed attempt to be “smarter” & was still pretty much "cranked up"…worse than if I'd had 3 cups of French espresso!
Wide awake at 3 am? Craigslist is always entertaining & the plan began! I would find everything needed for the "12 Days of Christmas" on Craigslist, right?
Okey Dokey...We need your basic “partridge in a pear tree”? Not even sure what a partridge looks like & after searching I can’t remember how many cities…There it is! One lone damn partridge! But, the price is right & we’ve got pear trees. Good to go! However, ya’ got to wonder what the “emu problem” is all about? Another, story Sally will share with you sometime! Another mess the Missouri Department of Agriculture got poor farmers involved with! Emu’s & pot-bellied pigs! This is the only partridge in the whole USA and I got him for 3 bucks! YAY!

Moving right along! Finding two turtle dove is no small fete! So, we take a pair of these in gray & we’ll just label them “turtle doves” good to go! Not sure about the adoption thing…But, possibly they can be returned after the Holiday’s! And, they are right in Kansas City! Who knew?

So, where the hell are we going to find “3 French Hens”? Not a one, anywhere that I could find…not even in FRANCE! Yes, Craigslist is in Europe, too! NO FRENCH HENS in France? Leaves me no choice! I’m taking these laying hens & the optional rooster! We keep three of the hens, teach them French & eat the rest! Good to go! I am really getting the Christmas spirit, now!

Seven swans a swimming? There they are…in Little Rock! So, they are black swans? Ya’ gotta a problem with that? I didn’t think so! And, not only can they swim but one of them talks! And, there it was…OMG! Right in Johnson County no less! These pleasant people got me covered! Their “girls” aim to please! You want milk maids? Coming right up…any preference to size or color? Not a problem! And, the 9 ladies dancing? You pick out the music/costumes or not? And, I got a “bulk” price! I can hear those sleigh bells ringing, now!
